An app can work perfectly and still fail because nobody understands how to use it. User experience design (UX) decides which steps a person takes and in what order; user interface design (UI) decides how each screen looks. Together they get your users to what they're looking for without calling you to ask.

What we design

  • Mobile apps for iPhone and Android.
  • Client portals and member areas.
  • Admin dashboards and internal systems.
  • Checkout, booking or sign-up flows that lose people halfway through today.
  • Redesigns of existing apps that work, but that nobody wants to use.

What's included

  • Interviews or a review of how your users work today and where they get stuck.
  • A map of screens and flows: which screens exist and how you move from one to the next.
  • Sketches of the main screens to validate the idea before polishing.
  • Visual design with your brand: colors, type, buttons and states (loading, empty, error).
  • A clickable prototype you and your users can try on a phone before any code is written.
  • A design system: the components and rules so everything built later looks consistent.
  • Accessibility from the start: contrast, sizes and text that work for everyone.

How we work

  1. Free 30-minute video call to understand the product and its users.
  2. Written proposal with the screens, deliverables, dates and price.
  3. Flows and sketches to approve the structure.
  4. Visual design and prototype, with two rounds of revisions.
  5. Testing with real users and adjustments.
  6. Handover to our development team or yours.

Pricing

Design is quoted according to the number of screens and flows, in Costa Rican colones plus VAT, after the video call. If we also build the app, the design is part of the same proposal. See mobile apps, client portals and admin dashboards.

Frequently asked questions

Do you only design, or do you also build?

Both. You can hire just the design and hand it to your team, or design and development together, which usually saves time because there's no handoff.

Why not go straight to code?

Because changing a screen in a prototype takes minutes, and changing it once it's built takes days. Testing with users first avoids building what won't be used.
