Most sites that get hacked aren't a special target: they have an old plugin, a weak password or an unprotected form, and an automated program finds them. And when something goes wrong, what saves the business is a backup that can actually be restored. This service takes care of both.
What's included
- Security review: versions, plugins, users, passwords, permissions and server configuration.
- Updates to the system and its components, tested before they're applied.
- HTTPS on every page, with automatic redirects from http.
- Spam-protected forms that don't bother your customers: hidden fields for bots, timing checks, send limits and a link filter.
- No exposed data: we take emails and sensitive data off public pages and review what information goes out to third parties.
- Daily backups with a copy off the server, because if the server fails, the backups stored on it go down with it.
- A restore test: we restore a backup into a test database and check that nothing is missing. A backup that has never been tested isn't a backup.
- A report of what we found, what we fixed and what's pending.

My site has already been hacked. Can you help?
Yes. First we isolate it, then we clean it up and close the way in, and restore whatever can be restored. If the platform is very old, it's sometimes better to migrate to a new site; we tell you honestly.
How often is it backed up?
Every day, and we keep 14 days of backups. For stores or systems with a lot of activity we can back up more often.
